Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle various cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold sanitation standards. Manage the safe handling and storage of chemical agents in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hotel safety protocols. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen, supplies, or equipment to ensure efficient room turnover. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns. Maintain cleanliness of floors through proper floor care techniques, including stripping, waxing, and polishing as needed. Use custodial experience to troubleshoot cleaning equipment issues and ensure all tools are maintained in optimal condition. Deliver exceptional customer service by responding professionally to guest requests and inquiries related to housekeeping services. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles, with knowledge of janitorial practices and hotel housekeeping management. Familiarity with floor cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the handling of chemical agents safely. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts. Strong understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude towards guests and team members. Knowledge of cleaning equipment operation such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners. Experience with hotel experience or hospitality industry background is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
