Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment Handle various cleaning agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and maintain floor care standards across all areas of the hotel Manage heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or supplies while following manual handling safety procedures Restock amenities, replace linens, and ensure all surfaces are sanitized according to hotel sanitation standards Follow hotel emergency procedures in case of incidents or safety concerns, maintaining a secure environment for guests and staff Use janitorial equipment effectively, ensuring all cleaning tools are maintained and stored properly for optimal performance Experience Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and the safe handling of chemical agents is advantageous Strong customer service skills to address guest inquiries professionally and courteously Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing heavy lifting responsibilities Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and safety protocols enhances your effectiveness in this role
