Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains the orderly sanitary, attractive and safe condition of the Medical Center according to Medical Center procedures. Performs duties in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential:
seeing, hearing, standing, walking, reaching forward, grasping, handling.
Frequent:
pushing and pulling 20 to 30 pounds; lifting floor to knuckle up to 15 pounds, knuckle to shoulder up to 10 pounds, shoulder to overhead up to 5 pounds, carrying up to 15 pounds, talking, bending, squatting, stooping, crouching, overhead reaching, finger dexterity.
Occasional:
pushing and pulling up to 40 pounds, lifting floor to knuckle 35 pounds, knuckle to shoulder 20 pounds, shoulder to overhead 10 pounds, carrying 35 pounds, sitting, running, climbing ladder and stairs, side bending, crawling, kneeling. Operates machines, tools and work aides include housekeeping carts, linen carts, mop bucket, cleaning supplies, mop broom.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Exposed to both inside environmental conditions. Some exposure to hazardous chemicals and materials.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE
Ability to speak, read, write and understand English, both orally and in writing. High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
B. EXPERIENCE
