Job Description

Overview:
The Housekeeper I NE is responsible for helping to maintain a clean and hygienic environment by performing scheduled cleaning and responding to emergency spills. The role complies with Medicare, Medicaid, and infection control standards, completes required training, and adheres to vaccination protocols. Responsibilities:
Operate floor maintenance equipment and perform cleaning, stripping, waxing, buffing, and refinishing of hard and carpeted surfaces Clean and prepare patient rooms, move furniture and equipment, and maintain cleaning tools and records Transport waste safely and support hospital cleaning standards and quality audits Participate in emergency response and fire drills, report facility repair needs, and assist with miscellaneous EVS tasks Complete annual training on floor care, equipment use, and safety compliance
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent degree required
Experience:
Two years of carpet cleaning, floor refinishing and general housekeeping preferred. License(s)/Certification(s): None
