Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting floors. Handle cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures. Manage heavy lifting tasks involved in moving furniture or supplies while following manual handling safety protocols. Ensure all sanitation procedures are followed meticulously to meet health regulations and hotel standards. Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or cleaning services with professionalism and a customer-focused attitude. Follow hotel emergency procedures when necessary to ensure safety for guests and staff alike. Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial work with strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment. Expertise in floor care, including floor cleaning, chemical handling, and industrial cleaning methods. Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while maintaining safety standards; familiarity with safety data sheets (SDS) is preferred. Excellent manual handling skills for heavy lifting tasks associated with custodial responsibilities. Strong customer service skills with a friendly approach to guest interactions. Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices to ensure efficient workflow and quality control. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures to respond effectively in urgent situations.
