GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
: Under the direct supervision of a state licensed/certified Administrator, ensures cleanliness of facility including resident rooms as well as common areas. Performs related duties as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents; Perform housekeeping duties which may include but are not limited to vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms and other surfaces, etc.; Manage time effectively by being fast paced and task oriented; Report any changes in resident condition.
ADDITIONAL EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
Answer phones and greet visitors; May assist Caregivers with transfers or other temporary needs; May be required to train other team members on job responsibilities; Perform related duties as required.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age; Prior housekeeping experience preferred, preferably in healthcare; Knowledge of all residents rights, including the right to be free of restraints and abuse; Knowledge of therapies and techniques used to improve resident quality of life; Knowledge and use of safe practices in handling hazardous chemicals; Ability to work with diverse populations including age, those with mental illness, memory loss diagnosis, and/or physical impairments, and aid in these residents ADLs as needed; Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions; Ability to keep daily records; Ability to handle emergency situations, power outage, medical emergency, fire, flood, etc; Ability to schedule workload so the facility is clean and safe; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, residents, and families; Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive data at all times; Ability to work effectively in a team setting; Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; and to keep daily records.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling required; Repeated hand and arm movements, lifting, reaching over head, standing for extended periods of time, use a step stool and work on wet slippery surfaces; Must be able to work regularly and safely with chemicals; Must have sufficient physical ability to clean bathrooms, bedrooms, floors, etc.; Must frequently lift or move objects weighing up to thirty five (35) pounds unassisted. #
