QIDP - Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional Residential Habilitation |
Boise, Idaho Pay:
$60,000-$65,000/year plus paid overtime, paid mileage and stipend for on-call rotation. $1000 SIGN-ON BONUS . We Work Hard. We Care Hard. We Have Fun, Too. Ascend Residential Habilitation is a growing Idaho ResHab company providing 24/7 care and support to adults with disabilities. Because our homes are staffed around the clock, our work doesn't stop at 5:00 PM. When something needs to be handled, our team works together to make sure our participants are safe, supported, and receiving the quality of care they deserve. We are looking for a QIDP who wants to be part of that team. This is not a "show up, complete your list, and go home" kind of job. We are an all-hands-on-deck team. Sometimes that means staying late. Sometimes it means helping solve a problem that isn't technically "your job." Sometimes it means answering an after-hours call, supporting a staff member, or figuring out how to make something work when the original plan didn't. Our QIDPs participate in a rotating after-hours/on-call schedule , sharing responsibility with the administrative team so that our staff and participants have support when they need it. This is a rotation—not a 24/7 individual on-call position. And sometimes it means laughing together, celebrating wins, having fun, and enjoying the people you work with. We work hard, but we also believe work should be a place where people feel valued, supported, and appreciated.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We need someone who is more than a QIDP on paper. We want someone who takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about the people we serve and the team they work with.
You are someone who:
Takes ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do Has a strong work ethic Is dependable and follows through Notices problems and does something about them Can think on your feet and problem solve Is flexible when priorities change Pays attention to the details Communicates well with staff, participants, families, guardians, and other professionals Can build relationships while still holding people accountable Is comfortable having difficult conversations when necessary Works well as part of a small team Is willing to pitch in wherever needed Understands that we provide 24/7 care Is willing to participate in rotating after-hours/on-call coverage Is willing to work overtime when needed Can laugh, have fun, and contribute to a positive work environment Experience in the field is strongly preferred. We would love to find someone with QIDP, Residential Habilitation, developmental disability, or related experience who understands the realities of this work. However, we are willing to consider the right person who has the work ethic, personality, leadership ability, and willingness to learn that we're looking for.
THIS IS AN ALL-HANDS-ON-DECK ENVIRONMENT
We are a small office. That is one of the things that makes us great—and one of the things that makes this job different. When you work for a small company, your work matters. You won't be lost in a huge organization where nobody knows what you do. You will know the people you work with. You will know our participants. You will see problems firsthand. And when something needs to be done, we expect our team to pitch in.
That might mean:
Helping another team member who is overwhelmed Staying late when something important needs to be finished Helping solve a staffing issue Supporting a caregiver who is struggling Following up on a problem instead of passing it along Taking an after-hours call when you are on the rotation Helping with an unexpected situation Doing the little things that keep the company and our homes running well We don't believe in "that's not my job" when our participants or our team need help. At the same time, we don't believe in burning out our employees.
WE TAKE CARE OF OUR PEOPLE.
We ask a lot from our team, but we also believe our employees deserve to be treated with respect. We want our staff to feel: Appreciated Supported Heard Respected Recognized for their hard work Part of something meaningful We celebrate our wins. We recognize people who go above and beyond. We make time to have fun together. Work hard. Help each other. Take care of our participants. Take care of your team. And have some fun along the way.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a QIDP, you will play an important role in making sure our participants receive quality services and our staff have the support and direction they need.
Responsibilities include:
Developing, monitoring, and updating participant ISPs and goals Monitoring participant progress Reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness Providing guidance and support to direct-care staff Holding staff accountable when expectations aren't being met Communicating with participants, families, guardians, case managers, and other professionals Identifying problems and developing solutions Following up to make sure problems actually get resolved Participating in participant meetings and service planning Supporting staff training and development Assisting with incidents, investigations, and follow-up Monitoring quality and compliance Identifying areas where services can be improved Helping ensure Idaho ResHab requirements are being met Participating in the rotating after-hours/on-call schedule Responding appropriately to after-hours staff and participant needs when scheduled Working closely with the administrative team Pitching in wherever needed to keep our homes and team running successfully
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
We don't expect you to know everything.
We do expect you to:
Show up. Work hard. Pay attention. Communicate. Take ownership. Ask questions. Solve problems. Follow through. Treat people with respect. And care about the quality of your work. If you make a mistake, own it. If you don't know something, learn it. If you see a problem, don't walk past it. If your teammate needs help, help them. If a participant needs something, make sure it gets addressed. That's the kind of person we're looking for.
THIS MAY BE THE RIGHT JOB FOR YOU
IF... You want more than a paycheck. You like working with people. You enjoy having variety in your day. You like solving problems. You want your work to matter. You enjoy being part of a close team. You can work hard when things get busy. You understand that working in a 24/7 care environment requires flexibility and shared after-hours responsibility. You can laugh when things get crazy. And you want to work somewhere that expects a lot from you while also genuinely caring about you. If that sounds like you, we'd like to meet you. QIDP/ResHab experience is strongly preferred. Please submit a resume that accurately reflects your experience. We are looking for someone who is serious about joining our team and becoming an important part of what we are building.
