Day shifts, including assigned weekends and holidays Position Summary Country Inn & Suites in Meridian is seeking a dependable and hardworking Housekeeper/Laundry Attendant. This position helps maintain clean, comfortable guest rooms and ensures the hotel has a consistent supply of clean linens and towels. Team members may be assigned to clean guest rooms, work in the laundry area, or assist with both depending on the hotel's daily needs. Previous hotel experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train someone who is reliable, works efficiently, and takes pride in doing the job correctly. Housekeeping Responsibilities Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards Make beds and replace sheets, pillowcases, and other linens Clean and sanitize bathrooms, sinks, showers, toilets, and floors Dust furniture and clean mirrors, windows, and other surfaces Vacuum carpets and mop hard-surface floors Empty trash and remove used linens Restock towels, toiletries, coffee supplies, and other guest-room items Inspect rooms for damage, missing items, and maintenance concerns Report lost-and-found items according to hotel procedures Respect guest privacy and follow room-entry procedures Keep housekeeping carts and storage areas clean and organized Assist with cleaning hallways, stairwells, and other public areas as needed Laundry Responsibilities Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens and towels Operate commercial washers and dryers safely Follow proper chemical-use and laundry procedures Inspect linens and remove stained, damaged, or worn items Maintain adequate supplies of clean linens for housekeeping Keep the laundry room clean, safe, and organized Clean dryer lint screens and complete routine laundry-area checklists Report equipment problems or supply shortages to management Assist with transporting linens between the laundry room and housekeeping areas Qualifications Dependable attendance and punctuality Able to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to cleanliness and detail Able to follow instructions and complete assigned rooms or laundry tasks on time Willing to assist in both housekeeping and laundry as needed Able to maintain a professional attitude around guests and coworkers Previous housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, or hotel experience is preferred but not required Must be available to work assigned weekends and holidays Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift Ability to push and pull housekeeping carts Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds Ability to work around cleaning products, laundry chemicals, heat, and moving equipment Ability to clean multiple rooms or process laundry within established time and quality standards What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Consistent daytime scheduling On-the-job training Employee hotel discounts, where applicable Opportunities for advancement Supportive, team-oriented work environment To apply, please submit your résumé or a brief summary of your work experience and availability.
