Non-Exempt Position Summary The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures. This role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests while promoting a strong commitment to exceptional guest service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and promote a 100% commitment to guest satisfaction and associate experience.
- Clean assigned guest rooms to brand and company standards, including making beds, changing linens, replacing towels and amenities, cleaning bathrooms, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, stairwells, laundry, vending areas, and other common spaces.
- Perform laundry duties as needed (washing, drying, folding, and restocking linens).
- Stock and maintain housekeeping carts, storage rooms, and laundry areas.
- Report all maintenance issues, safety hazards, damaged items, or lost & found property promptly to management.
- Provide courteous, professional service in response to guest requests while respecting privacy and security.
- Comply with all safety, security, and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Assist with cleaning other hotel areas (breakrooms, fitness room, guest laundry, etc.) as assigned. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience helpful; hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions, policies, and procedures with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills; basic English proficiency preferred.
- Strong guest-service orientation and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Ability to position self to access low areas, traverse heights, and remain stable while working.
- Regular exposure to cleaning products, equipment, wet/humid conditions, and occasional outdoor weather.
- Ability to detect scents, sounds, and visual cues to ensure safe and effective performance. Work Environment
- Hotel setting, including guest rooms, laundry facilities, and public/common areas.
- Team-oriented and guest-focused workplace.
- Moderate to loud noise levels may occur.
