A Maid or Housekeeping Staff provides cleaning and housekeeping services, primarily for rooms and bathrooms in hotels and hospitals. May also work in private residences, office buildings, colleges, other institutions.
SpringHill Suites in Rexburg is currently seeking Housekeepers to join our team! Need to hire ASAP and very flexible with school schedules Must be available between 9am-5pm and we do require 2 weekends (Saturday/Sunday) a month We are looking for individuals who are flexible, adaptable, and moldable; that want to grow within the hospitality industry. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the guest rooms, public areas and back of the house areas (linen rooms and laundry areas), according to company procedures and at a level that meets or exceeds company standards.
Essential Job Functions:
Stock carts to ensure that enough equipment and amenities are available to properly clean each room. Observe knocking procedures announcing "housekeeping" prior to entering a guest room. Thoroughly clean the guest rooms assigned at approximately 30 minutes per room. Ensure the amenities are stocked for each cleaned room. Complete entire housekeeping checklist. Report clean rooms to supervisor for inspection. Report any damages or hazards that are present in guest rooms to a supervisor (i.e., burned out light bulbs, broken furniture, broken lights, etc.). Immediately report any broken door locks to management. Restock cart for next day. Secure guest room doors upon exiting the room. Keep the corridors and service areas neat at all times. Turn in all lost and found items and all guest room and section keys.

Requirements:
Able to communicate accurately and effectively in verbal and written form with guests and associates so as to respond accurately and completely to people to give directions, instructions, information, answer questions and provide service as required. Bend, stoop, stretch, twist and reach to dust furniture, vacuum, clean bathrooms and mirrors, change and make beds, etc. Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, sometimes long periods. Inspect rooms for cleanliness and guest belongings that have been left behind. Use written communication skills to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork. Quickly and thoroughly perform cleaning duties approximately 30 minutes per room, Lift all equipment and supplies of approximately thirty (30) pounds on and off cart, using safe lifting techniques. $12 per hour Raise to $13 after training requirements are met Marriott Discounts Time and half on
