Overview The Comfort Inn Edwardsville is looking to hire a dynamic individual to join our team. We are looking to fill several part time positions with one full time team associate as a Breakfast, Laundry, and Room Attendant! The position hours are as follows: Monday and Tuesday Breakfast 6:00 AM to 12:30 PM Wednesday and Thursday Laundry 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Sundays Room Attendant (as needed) 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a pristine environment. Handle laundry duties efficiently by washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with care and attention to detail. Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as hallways, lobby spaces, and service areas through regular floor cleaning and custodial tasks. Safely operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and chemical sprayers while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety. Manage chemical agents responsibly by understanding proper handling techniques and storage according to safety standards. Assist with hotel housekeeping management tasks when needed, supporting team coordination and ensuring high standards of sanitation are met consistently. Qualifications Previous experience in hotel service and/or custodial work is highly preferred; familiarity with janitorial or industrial cleaning is a plus. Previous experience in food service is highly preferred as well. Food a beverage certificate is required and will be paid for by the hotel. Knowledge of floor care techniques including vacuuming, mopping, and the use of cleaning equipment. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when moving furniture or large linens. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members. Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols. Experience with chemical agent handling and sanitation practices in hospitality settings. Excellent manual handling skills combined with attention to detail to ensure all cleaning tasks meet hygiene standards.
