Responsibilities Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies to ensure a pristine environment. Handle various cleaning tasks such as floor care, chemical agent handling, and industrial cleaning using appropriate equipment and safety procedures. Maintain high standards of sanitation by properly using cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols. Assist with the cleaning of public areas, corridors, lobbies, and other hotel spaces to uphold overall cleanliness standards. Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety guidelines during all cleaning activities, ensuring a safe environment for guests and staff. Perform heavy lifting tasks when needed for moving supplies or furniture while adhering to manual handling safety practices. Use janitorial equipment such as vacuums, mops, buffers, and other cleaning tools efficiently to maximize productivity. Support hotel housekeeping management by reporting maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly. Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to guest requests and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay. Experience Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a hospitality or hotel setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques, floor care procedures, and sanitation standards is advantageous. Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and hotel emergency procedures is a plus. Experience handling cleaning chemicals safely in compliance with SDS guidelines is highly valued. Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety protocols. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest satisfaction and teamwork.
