Morton Housekeeper:
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary and comfortable environment in assisting with overall upkeep of property common areas, vacant apartments, and communal spaces.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Dust and polish fixtures, surfaces, and furniture Sweep, mop, wax, and/or vacuum floors Remove debris and trash from all office receptacles and property trash cans, if there is not a Groundskeeper Wipe down doors and windows Examine rooms, halls, and lobbies to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes recommendations to management Clean out globes over light fixtures Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies for the week's work Order supplies by notifying Maintenance Supervisor Obtain list of vacant rooms Turn clean, during non-transition time Be respectful of residents living in open bedrooms
Education/Experience:
Prior housekeeping or similar experience helpful High school diploma or equivalent Physical Requirements Ability to sit for long periods of time; Ability to use hands and fingers; Ability to speak, see, and hear; Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, and pull; Ability to lift up to 25 pounds; Ability to walk and climb stairs; Ability to think, concentrate, and communicate; Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
