Handle cleaning tasks for public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment. Use chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe workspace. Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move furniture or supplies while maintaining proper manual handling techniques. Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards in accordance with hotel emergency procedures. Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues promptly to management. Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with strong janitorial skills. Expertise in floor care techniques including floor cleaning and chemical handling for various surfaces. Proficiency with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures to ensure guest safety at all times.
