Responsibilities Perform floor cleaning and floor care using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques to maintain a pristine environment. Handle cleaning duties across various hotel areas, including guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, and service areas, ensuring sanitation standards are met. Safely operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and chemical sprayers while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines. Manage chemical agent handling with precision, following proper procedures for storage, usage, and disposal to ensure safety for all staff and guests. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment to support housekeeping operations. Support hotel emergency procedures by being prepared to respond swiftly and appropriately in case of incidents or safety concerns. Maintain cleanliness logs and complete routine inspections to uphold high standards of sanitation and hygiene throughout the property. Collaborate with team members to ensure custodial standards are consistently met, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience within a hotel or hospitality setting is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability in floor cleaning, vacuuming, and general sanitation tasks. Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation and chemical handling procedures is essential. Experience in hotel housekeeping management or related hospitality roles will be advantageous. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols ensures readiness in various situations. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety compliance.
