Position Summary Desai Hotel Group is looking for honest, reliable, and hard-working housekeepers that will support our team. This person is a self-driven individual who will respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments. Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms. During your first few days of employment, you will receive important information regarding the performance requirements of your position, basic company policies, your compensation , plus other information necessary to acquaint you with your job and the company. You will also be asked to complete an I-9 form and present the company with information establishing your identity and your eligibility to work in the United States in accordance with applicable federal laws. Performs any combination of the following tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, and the hotel premises in general in a clean and orderly manner.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, hallways, furnishings, flooring and work areas. Cleaning rooms includes duties such as changing bed linens and emptying trash as well as vacuuming carpets and dusting furniture. Replaces guest supplies, i.e. soap, shampoo, bathroom tissue, etc. and maintains all staff closets Cleaning the common areas, stairwells, elevators and landings. Report missing / found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the housekeeping supervisors. Respond at all times in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleagues. Take up any tasks assigned by the supervisors as and when needed. Must be able to work independently and as a team player

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES

Previous houseperson experience highly preferred Must have excellent customer service skills at all times. At least two months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to understand cleaning solutions or equipment labels and use them as instructed. Can understand cleaning solution labels and use as instructed. Able to work weekends and/or overtime if approved and required. Must be able to lift heavy items.
