A Maid or Housekeeping Staff provides cleaning and housekeeping services, primarily for rooms and bathrooms in hotels and hospitals. May also work in private residences, office buildings, colleges, other institutions.
We are currently looking for part time housekeepers / Room Inspector. Ability to work in Holidays and Weekends are required. This position has overall responsibility for cleaning guest rooms in a timely and thorough manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
The skills required are:
A warm, hospitable, and helpful personality Ability to cooperate well with other housekeepers Attention to detail in cleaning and restocking of room items Professional housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel Open to using environmentally friendly cleaning products, as we will be working toward becoming as environmentally friendly an inn as possible! Being organized and efficient in your work Ability to carry loads (laundry, garbage) up and down stairs between floors Frequently standing up and moving about the facility, frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility, frequently bending, stooping and kneeling. Key responsibilities of the role include: Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash etc. cleaning public interior areas of inn, including parlor, hallways, kitchen floor, and staircases Inspecting rooms ensuring the highest standard of cleanliness Properly tags lost and found items and turns them in to management. sweeping and wiping outside public areas, such as porches and walkways Doing laundry: washing, drying, and folding sheets, towels, etc. Taking out garbage and recycling Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping. Reports maintenance issues to Rooms Inspector/Manager immediately. Complies with all safety and security policies in accordance with Company standards.
