Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and bathroom sanitation. Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met. Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and janitorial tools with skill and safety awareness. Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture or supplies while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas when required, including sweeping walkways or outdoor furniture. Communicate professionally with clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction with the cleaning services provided. Requirements Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation standards. Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper handling of cleaning chemicals. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during tasks such as moving furniture or supplies. Strong time management skills to complete assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Outdoor work experience is a plus for roles involving exterior maintenance or outdoor cleaning tasks. Prior housekeeping management or hotel experience is advantageous for understanding high standards of cleanliness and client expectations.
