Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeping Assistant to join our healthcare facility team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment that promotes health and well-being for patients, staff, and visitors alike. Your proactive approach to cleaning, sanitation, and environmental services will ensure our facility meets the highest standards of cleanliness and infection prevention. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, common areas, offices, restrooms, and hallways using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents Follow strict safety protocols related to chemical handling and manual handling to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces according to healthcare infection prevention and control guidelines Support environmental services initiatives by ensuring proper waste disposal and maintaining cleanliness in all designated areas Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to staff or patient requests related to cleanliness or sanitation needs Requirements Proven custodial or janitorial experience in healthcare facilities or similar environments Experience with chemical agent handling, sanitation practices, and floor care techniques Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and prolonged standing or walking Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service orientation Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention protocols is highly desirable Prior experience working in hospital or healthcare environments is preferred but not required Join us in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where health thrives!
