Job Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of the hotel's building and grounds and the operation of its equipment and mechanical/electrical systems up to and including repairing, painting, a myriad of small equpoment fixes and most importantly

!. Must be flexible based on hotel business demands. Some nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities:

Reviews maintenance problems, complaints and work orders to prioritize and schedule work assignments. Trouble-shoots, diagnoses and repairs malfunctioning electrical/mechanical systems and equipment to his/her level of ability. Inspects property to identify potential and current needs. Executes on-going appropriate maintenance programs. Performs preventive maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis Completes maintenance logs. Maintains Exterior Appearance of Hotel by pruning/ trimming bushes, watering plants/ flowers, weeding flower beds and Area regularly (remove brush to dumpster), sweep/ blow off parking lot to ensure a clean parking area, etc. Maintains the lobby and other public areas (Pool, Fitness Room, Business Center, Guest Laundry, Vending Areas, and all Hallways/ Stairwells) to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates and vendors. Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so as to get along with customers, co-workers and managers. Vacuums and/or sweeps all floor surfaces as needed. Picks up newspapers, glassware, trash, etc. from all public areas in the Hotel, Parking Lot/ Sidewalks, and Courtyard Area. Any other related duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of HVAC, troubleshooting and servicing up to his/her ability. Ability to test and record chlorine and Ph levels of hotel pool Ability to meet and deal tactfully with guests, fellow employees and vendors.
