Industrial Maintenance Technician - Grand Rapids, MI 1st Shift 7am-3pm M-F $25.00-30.00 per hour Competitive Company Benefits Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to add to our growing team within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role supports production equipment and automated manufacturing systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations Responsibilities Maintain and support product-specific work cells to minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity. Respond promptly to machine downtime situations, diagnose issues, and restore equipment to safe and efficient operation. Perform preventive maintenance on all assigned work cells and production equipment according to established schedules and procedures. Conduct mechanical repairs such as fabricating components and repairing or replacing bearings. Service and repair hydraulic pumps that drive mixer blades and cooling pumps that control mixer bowl temperature. Maintain and repair mill equipment, including rolling-pin-style mills, conveyors, belts, drives, and material transfer systems. Work with equipment similar to industrial baking mixers and related material handling systems, ensuring reliable operation. Use electrical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve basic electrical issues associated with machinery. Interpret and work from blueprints and technical documentation to perform repairs and modifications correctly. Essential Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of experience performing maintenance and preventive maintenance (PM) on production or industrial equipment. 3+ years of experience working with hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair. 3+ years of experience working with pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience in machine repair, conveyors, motors, etc. Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings for maintenance and repair work. Proficiency in preventive and corrective maintenance practices for production machinery. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Comstock Park, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
