Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and execute floor care procedures to maintain spotless surfaces Manage heavy lifting tasks when moving furniture or cleaning equipment to ensure efficient room turnover Maintain sanitation standards by properly disposing of waste and following hotel housekeeping management procedures Use janitorial equipment such as buffers, steam cleaners, and scrubbers to ensure high-quality cleaning results Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety guidelines to guarantee a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues Requirements Proven hotel housekeeping experience or janitorial/custodial experience in a hospitality setting Knowledge of floor cleaning, industrial cleaning, and sanitation practices essential for maintaining hygiene standards Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while adhering to safety protocols and SDS instructions Strong manual handling skills with the physical stamina required for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and team members Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation, vacuuming techniques, and floor care methods Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheet (SDS) compliance is preferred Previous hotel housekeeping management or hospitality experience is advantageous for supervisory roles Embark on a fulfilling career where your dedication transforms guest spaces into welcoming retreats.
