Job Description
Assures completion of all housekeeping in common areas and apartments. 20 hours per week, no weekends Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home like environment for tenants. Monitors inventory of chemicals, supplies and equipment needed for laundry and housekeeping tasks. Communicates chemical, supply, and equipment needs to Head Housekeeper Maintains required records; uses Maintenance work orders appropriately. Familiarizes self with cleaning schedules of tenants and for common areas to assure completion of housekeeping tasks. Assures requests for other janitorial and repair requests are properly logged and monitored for billing purposes. Provides laundry services as needed. Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures. Observes problems, concerns, issues observed with tenant units, the building and the grounds and communicates them appropriately. Observes changes in tenant status, needs, or preferences, and communicates them appropriately. Observes other problems and communicates them appropriately. Observes all work, safety, and administrative rules. Adheres to all established policies and procedures. Records tenant information as required. Avoids loss, breakage, and waste of supplies and equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, worker safety, and other emergency procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
