Sonesta ES Suites Detroit Warren is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms and hotel areas while meeting the property's standards for cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards Make beds and replace sheets, pillowcases, and other linens as needed Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and other guest room areas Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and clean surfaces throughout guest rooms Replace towels, toiletries, and other guest room supplies Remove trash and used linens from guest rooms Clean rooms following guest departures and provide housekeeping service for occupied rooms as assigned Report maintenance issues, damages, missing items, or unusual room conditions to management Maintain housekeeping carts, supplies, and work areas in a clean and organized manner Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment Follow hotel safety, security, and sanitation procedures Respond professionally and courteously to guest requests Assist with laundry or common-area cleaning when needed Complete assigned rooms and housekeeping duties efficiently while maintaining quality standards Perform other housekeeping-related duties as assigned by management Qualifications Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred, but not required Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Dependable and able to work independently Ability to manage time effectively and complete assigned rooms within the scheduled shift Ability to communicate professionally with guests, coworkers, and management Ability to follow instructions, cleaning procedures, and safety guidelines Must be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled Physical Requirements This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout the shift. Employees must be able to push and maneuver a housekeeping cart and lift or carry housekeeping supplies, linens, and other items necessary to perform the position.
