The Generalist provides all duties as outlined in the job descriptions of various jobs assigned within the community. Duties and Responsibilities Interacts with residents and staff in a professional and friendly manner at all times and demonstrates compassion for seniors. Receives full training in various positions within the community, including positions in food service; activities; reception; housekeeping; caregivers; transportation; and marketing. Rotates work in different departments/positions on a regular basis. May work various shifts as needed and when/if available. Promotes and maintains positive relationships with co-workers, residents, family members and guests. Follows all OSHA, Fire, Health Department and safety requirements. Other duties as assigned. Position requires sitting, standing and walking, sometimes for extended periods. Push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs. Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent communication skills. Must have basic computer skills. Ability to work well under stress, complete assignments accurately, and work independently. Effectively communicate in English with residents and other employees. Demonstrate desire to be a team player. Regular attendance is required. Working Conditions May require working with challenging residents. Requires interaction with co-workers, residents, families, and vendors. Occasional weekend, evening, night and holiday work if needed. Possible exposure to communicable diseases and infections.
