Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures to prevent accidents or contamination. Manage janitorial tasks such as mopping floors, cleaning carpets, polishing surfaces, and maintaining overall sanitation across the property. Operate cleaning equipment efficiently while adhering to industrial cleaning standards and safety regulations. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to cleaning supplies or furniture moving, ensuring manual handling safety protocols are followed at all times. Respond promptly to guest requests or complaints related to housekeeping services with professionalism and a customer service-oriented attitude. Support hotel emergency procedures by understanding evacuation plans, safety protocols, and ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, inspection reports, and safety compliance documentation as part of housekeeping management responsibilities. Qualifications Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with a strong understanding of janitorial practices and industrial cleaning techniques. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques including floor care maintenance for various surfaces. Skilled in handling chemical agents safely while following SDS guidelines; experience with chemical handling is preferred. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools effectively. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and standing for extended periods during shifts. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members alike. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for everyone on site. Experience in hotel housekeeping management or supervisory roles is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
