Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Maintain cleanliness of public spaces such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational areas by executing routine janitorial tasks with precision. Handle chemical agents safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for yourself and colleagues. Conduct heavy lifting tasks when moving furniture or supplies, ensuring manual handling safety protocols are followed at all times. Use specialized floor care equipment to polish, wax, or strip floors, ensuring surfaces are spotless and well-maintained. Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns with excellent customer service skills, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times. Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently during any incident or safety concern to maintain a secure environment for guests and staff. Maintain sanitation standards through regular cleaning schedules and adherence to industry best practices for hospitality environments. Keep detailed records of cleaning activities and report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management. Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a hotel or industrial cleaning setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and hospitality industry standards is advantageous. Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, or carpet cleaners is desirable. Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and safety protocols related to sanitation products is essential. Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving supplies or furniture. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) compliance is beneficial for maintaining a safe working environment.
