The Comfort Inn & Suites is looking for a wonderfully awesome person to join our team in our Rooms department as a laundry attendant or as a room attendant (housekeeper). Shift starts at 9:00 am on Saturday and Sunday. On Monday- Friday, work starts at 8:00 am. End time is when all laundry is completed. Typically during the week, this is around 3-5pm. On Weekends, it could be about 5-7pm. For room attendants, work starts at 9:30 AM on Saturday and Sunday and 8:30 AM on Monday- Friday. Our goal is to be done cleaning rooms by 2:30. Weekends it is typically later. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for stripping rooms, washing, drying, and folding guest sheets, bedding and towels. Job duties include stripping room of the used towels and linens, loading and unloading laundry carts and washing, drying, folding. The Laundry Attendant must be detail-oriented and demonstrate the ability to follow written and verbal job instructions. The ideal candidate is an individual who demonstrates initiative, flexibility, dependability, efficiency, attention to detail and working knowledge of laundry equipment.

Other Responsibilities Could Include:

Assist in cleaning public areas of the hotel including bathrooms, hallways, lobby. Deliver large or bulky items, like supplies, to appropriate floors. Empty waste baskets and replace liners. Lift and carry items up to 50 pounds (e.g. laundry bags, cleaning materials etc.). Operate laundry equipment, like washers and dryers. Sort damaged or stained items (laundry or bed linens) according to their categories. Work on getting stains out of linens and towels. Deliver clean supplies to guest rooms, including towels, sheets and toiletry kits. Aid in cleaning rooms if needed when done with laundry. Room Attendants are responsible for cleaning guest rooms to a high level of cleanliness to ensure our guests' satisfaction, safety, and comfort. This will also include cleaning public areas of the hotel as assigned.

$15.00 per hour
