Job Overview:
The Housekeeping Worker performs a variety of services to maintain the hospital and off-site affiliates in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition to prevent and control infections.
Qualifications:
Required:
Ability to speak and understand English and the ability to follow oral and/or written instructions
Preferred:
High School diploma or equivalent Housekeeping experience
Scheduling Requirements:
7:00am-3:30pm Every other weekend
Per Diem Essential Functions:
Bathroom cleaning. Showers, sinks, spills, toilets, and floors Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas Demonstrates clear customer focus, internal and external through appropriate interpersonal skills Distributes laundered articles and linens Empty and clean wastebaskets, and replace with fresh liners Demonstrates initiative in providing enhanced service to both internal and external customers Establishes sanitary and/or sterile conditions by following the specific cleaning procedures outlines by the department Floor dusting or carpet cleaning Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition Replaces soiled drapes and cubicle curtains Understands and applies safe work practices Vacuum carpets and dust floors Wash beds and mattresses, remake beds after dismissal or patients
