Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety procedures to ensure a secure environment for yourself and colleagues. Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and conduct detailed floor care to maintain a spotless appearance. Manage heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or supplies with proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury. Restock amenities like towels, toiletries, and linens to ensure guest comfort at all times. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, maintaining calm and professionalism. Maintain sanitation standards through regular cleaning schedules, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hotel policies. Qualifications Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred, with a strong background in hotel housekeeping management or related hospitality roles. Demonstrated expertise in floor cleaning, vacuuming, and general cleaning techniques. Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and familiarity with safety data sheets (SDS). Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving supplies or furniture. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and sanitation standards essential for maintaining a safe environment. Previous hotel experience or janitorial experience is highly desirable; familiarity with hotel housekeeping operations is a plus.
