Competitive and based on experience | Payroll positionA wonderful family in Katonah, Westchester County is seeking an experienced Full-Time, Live-Out Housekeeper / Family Assistant for their approximately 9,000-square-foot home. This position is primarily housekeeping and organization, with a light childcare component as needed. The family has three children, ages 6, 4, and 2. The two older children attend school, and the 2-year-old will soon attend a program three days per week. The family also employs an au pair. Dad works a hybrid schedule and travels frequently for work. Mom primarily works from home but goes into New York City at least once per week.

Responsibilities

• Detailed cleaning and general upkeep of the home
• Laundry, folding, ironing as needed, and putting clothing away
• Household organization — closets, drawers, children's spaces, storage areas, and maintaining organizational systems
• Keeping the home tidy, polished, and running smoothly
• Working collaboratively with other household staff
• Light childcare assistance when the au pair is unavailable or occupied with another child
• Occasionally transporting a child to/from school, appointments, activities, or other commitments
• Pitching in wherever needed to support the household.

A family vehicle will be provided whenever the candidate needs to transport the children.

• Experienced in detailed housekeeping, ideally within a larger private residence
• Proactive with a strong can-do attitude
• Comfortable assisting with children when needed
• Dependable, discreet, flexible, and professional
• A confident driver with a valid driver's license
• Open to occasional travel and overnight assistance
• Bilingual is a huge plus, but is not required.

Because the family's au pair has restrictions regarding overnight care and the number of hours she can work while traveling, the family would love someone who can provide additional flexibility for occasional travel and overnights when needed. This is a live-out position. The family has no pets.

Compensation:

The family is prepared to offer a competitive rate based on experience and qualifications. This is a payroll position. Paid holidays/ paid vacation and sick days offered. Healthcare stipend negotiable. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for an experienced housekeeper who is highly organized, positive, energetic, and a genuine team player who enjoys being part of a busy family household.

Pay:

$35.00 - $43.00 per hour
