Job Description
Job Summary The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout the hotel. This position ensures guest rooms, public areas, and assigned workspaces are cleaned and maintained to the hotel's quality standards while providing exceptional service to guests. Key Responsibilities Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to hotel standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing bathrooms. Replace linens, towels, and guest amenities as needed. Report maintenance issues, damaged property, or safety hazards to the Housekeeping Supervisor. Follow proper handling and storage procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment. Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries. Ensure all lost and found items are handled according to hotel policy. Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality at all times. Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures. Assist with deep cleaning projects and special assignments as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Good communication and customer service skills. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds. Ability to push housekeeping carts and operate cleaning equipment. Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
