Housekeeper Part Time - Dental Office Central Park West Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics New York, NY Job Details Part-time $25 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Floor buffing Collaboration Healthcare infection prevention and control expertise Attention to detail Organizational skills Healthcare facilities housekeeping Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of our dental office during office hours (8:30am-6pm) Monday through Friday. This position is part-time and 20-22 hours average per week. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment. Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning of clinical areas, patient rooms, reception areas, and staff lounges to ensure a pristine environment. Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness - to be completed during non-peak patient hours of 8:30am or 12pm Sanitize all surfaces, including dental equipment, countertops, and fixtures, following strict health protocols. Handle laundry duties for linens, towels, and other fabric items used within the office. Manage waste disposal and ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed at all times. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock needs replenishing. Uphold safety standards by using appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly. Collaborate with daytime staff to ensure seamless transition of cleaning responsibilities and report any maintenance issues. Requirements Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles within healthcare facilities, hotels, or commercial environments. Knowledge of cleaning techniques specific to clinical or dental settings is preferred. Familiarity with floor care methods such as carpet cleaning and floor polishing. Strong understanding of sanitation standards and infection control protocols. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards. Previous experience in residential or commercial cleaning, hotel housekeeping management, or similar roles is advantageous. Good physical stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks and lift supplies as needed
