This is an ideal opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a beautiful, organized home and enjoys creating systems, noticing what needs attention, and handling tasks proactively. There are children in the home, but no childcare responsibilities are required for this position. Responsibilities The role will primarily focus on housekeeping, laundry, organization, and general household support , including: Daily general housekeeping, including kitchens, bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and resetting rooms Weekly deep cleaning and maintaining higher-attention areas of the home Managing the family's laundry from start to finish, including washing, drying, folding, steaming/ironing, and putting items away Changing and laundering bed linens and towels Preparing and resetting guest rooms before and after visitors Maintaining closets, pantry, household storage areas, and other organizational systems Keeping household and cleaning supplies stocked Grocery shopping or pickup and putting groceries away Dry-cleaning drop-off/pickup, returns, and occasional household errands Light food preparation, such as washing/chopping produce or meal prep- OPTIONAL Letting vendors or service providers into the home when needed Helping prepare or reset household spaces before and after entertaining Caring for the family's older dog during the day, including a midday break Proactively identifying household tasks that need attention and handling them without requiring constant direction Ideal Candidate The family is looking for someone who is: Experienced in professional housekeeping/household manager or private household work Extremely organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Comfortable independently managing a large home Proactive and able to establish and maintain effective household systems Professional and respectful of household boundaries and privacy Consistent in their routines and quality of work Comfortable receiving feedback and communicating openly about what is and isn't working Interested in a long-term position and taking genuine ownership of the home The family values fairness and wants this person to feel well compensated and appreciated.
