Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning of all surfaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing floors to maintain a spotless environment. Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures according to established standards to ensure health and safety compliance. Handle laundry duties efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items. Use specialized cleaning equipment such as carpet cleaners, floor buffers, and janitorial tools to enhance cleaning effectiveness. Manage the proper storage and handling of cleaning detergents and chemicals, adhering to safety guidelines. Conduct outdoor work as needed, including patio or garden area cleaning and outdoor surface maintenance. Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand specific needs and provide excellent customer service. Assist with housekeeping management tasks such as scheduling, inventory control of cleaning supplies, and quality checks. Practice manual handling techniques for heavy lifting or moving furniture safely without injury. Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently within designated timeframes using strong time management skills. Experience Proven experience in residential or commercial housekeeping, custodial work, or janitorial services. Familiarity with cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning, and sanitation standards. Hands-on experience with various cleaning equipment and tools used in professional housekeeping environments. Knowledge of cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper chemical handling procedures. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients or residents. Outdoor work experience is a plus for maintaining exterior areas or outdoor surfaces. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently. Prior experience in housekeeping management or supervising team members is advantageous but not required.
