Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Houseman to join our hospitality team. Responsibilities Perform floor cleaning and care using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, mops, and floor buffers to ensure spotless surfaces throughout the hotel Handle cleaning tasks with various chemical agents safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, and equipment to support housekeeping operations Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and service spaces Support hotel housekeeping management by organizing supplies, restocking amenities, and ensuring all cleaning equipment is operational Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to guest requests related to cleanliness or facility needs Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a hospitality or hotel environment is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of floor care techniques and cleaning procedures Experience handling chemical agents safely and effectively in a commercial setting Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks comfortably over extended periods Strong understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols Previous hospitality experience that emphasizes customer service excellence is advantageous Join us in creating a welcoming atmosphere where cleanliness meets comfort!
