Manage laundry duties efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing residents' clothing and linens. Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as hallways, lounges, dining rooms, and outdoor spaces through regular sweeping, mopping, and outdoor work as needed. Use proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy items or moving furniture to ensure safety for yourself and residents. Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences while providing friendly customer service. Keep detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies used, and maintenance requests to support housekeeping management. Requirements Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services with a focus on senior or residential environments preferred. Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation standards. Familiarity with cleaning equipment and detergents along with the ability to operate various cleaning tools safely and effectively. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently within scheduled routines. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to manual handling guidelines. Excellent communication skills for engaging with residents respectfully and professionally. Outdoor work experience is a plus for maintaining outdoor spaces or gardens associated with senior residences.
