Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Houseman to support our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a welcoming environment, ensuring guest comfort and safety through diligent cleaning, sanitation, and custodial tasks. Duties Perform floor cleaning and care using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and mops to maintain spotless surfaces throughout the hotel. Handle cleaning tasks with precision, including dusting, trash removal, and detailed sanitation of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas. Safely manage chemical agents used for cleaning by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for all staff and guests. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture, supplies, or equipment to support housekeeping operations efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of hotel facilities by executing janitorial duties that meet sanitation standards, including restroom cleaning and floor care. Support hotel emergency procedures by being familiar with safety protocols and assisting in evacuation or safety drills as needed. Use cleaning equipment effectively while following safety guidelines to ensure optimal performance and safety during all custodial activities. Qualifications Prior experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial work within hospitality settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated skills in floor cleaning, industrial cleaning, and janitorial experience. Knowledge of chemical handling procedures, safety data sheets (SDS), and sanitation standards. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently. Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols. Experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and other janitorial tools is advantageous.
