Position Summary The Lead Common Area oversees the common area duties for the property and ensures all tasks and checklists for the property are completed daily. This role assists and supports the Inspectors, Room Attendants, and Laundry staff in meeting quality and timeliness standards for guest rooms and the resort's common areas, and also performs the duties of a Common Area Attendant as needed. Responsibilities include a combination of light-to-moderate cleaning duties to maintain resort grounds and buildings in a clean and orderly manner, such as making beds, replenishing linens, picking up trash in the parking lot, sweeping stairwells, cleaning rooms and hallways, and vacuuming. The Lead Common Area provides the very best service to ensure owners and guests have a positive vacation experience. Essential Functions Oversee common areas of the property and the staff assigned to clean them. Ensure the front desk area is always neat and fully stocked. Assist the Laundry Attendant with washing, drying, and folding all hotel linens. Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts. Disinfect equipment and supplies using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers. Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays, and transport trash and waste to disposal areas. Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property, and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors. Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaners and shampooers. Dust and polish furniture and equipment. Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy. Hang draperies and dust window blinds. Request repair services and coordinate with repair workers as needed. Maintain the parking lot, stairwells, and hallways. Sort, count, and mark clean linens, and store them in linen closets. Run errands, such as taking laundry to the cleaners. Other Functions The Lead Common Area may also: Perform other duties as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the property. Perform the duties of a Guest Room Attendant if needed. Assist Laundry with folding linens, stain treatment, and loading washers and dryers. Assist the Front of House as needed with guest check-in and guest check-out. Strip all vacant rooms of bed linen and towels. Remove debris from driveways, garages, and swimming pool areas. Deliver television sets, ironing boards, baby cribs, and rollaway beds to guests' rooms. Education/Credentials A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Experience At least one year of experience in a position that interacts with customers is required, preferably within a hospitality organization.

lbs. N Work Environment The Common Area Lead works on resort property. This position requires the regular use of cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment that may produce strong odors. The schedule includes some holidays and weekends.
