Duties Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, operating rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment Handle laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and uniforms in accordance with healthcare standards Use proper chemical handling procedures to safely manage cleaning agents and disinfectants, ensuring compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, floors, medical equipment, and high-touch areas to prevent healthcare-associated infections Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools efficiently and safely Follow environmental services protocols to ensure safe waste disposal and proper sanitation practices in all areas of the facility Assist with heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving furniture or large supplies while adhering to safety protocols Support infection control measures by following healthcare-specific cleaning procedures and safety guidelines at all times Experience Prior custodial or janitorial experience in healthcare facilities or hospitals is highly preferred Familiarity with hospital or healthcare environment housekeeping standards is advantageous Experience with commercial cleaning equipment and chemical agents handling is desirable Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to chemical handling, manual handling, and environmental safety is essential Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safety protocol adherence consistently Customer service skills are valued for interacting courteously with staff members and visitors while maintaining a professional attitude Join us in creating a clean, safe haven that promotes health and well-being!
