Job Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Housekeeper, where your dedication to cleanliness and customer satisfaction will create a welcoming and pristine environment for our guests. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of sanitation, floor care, and overall room presentation. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure that every guest experiences comfort, cleanliness, and a sense of home during their stay. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant hospitality environment while honing your skills in hotel housekeeping management and janitorial services. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe work environment. Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and execute floor care routines to maintain a spotless appearance. Manage heavy lifting tasks involved in moving furniture or supplies with proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury. Restock supplies such as towels, toiletries, and cleaning materials to ensure rooms are fully equipped for guest needs. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, maintaining guest safety at all times. Maintain detailed records of sanitation activities, incident reports, and equipment maintenance logs as required by hotel housekeeping management policies. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a hospitality or industrial cleaning setting is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform floor cleaning, vacuuming, and general sanitation tasks efficiently. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, mops, and chemical dispensers. Knowledge of hotel housekeeping standards and hotel emergency procedures enhances your ability to deliver exceptional service. Experience handling chemical agents safely while maintaining compliance with safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Previous hotel experience or hospitality background is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key.
