Job description Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and presentation of guest rooms and public areas to meet or exceed hotel quality standards, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. Key Responsibilities Clean and sanitize guest rooms (beds, bathrooms, furniture, floors) following hotel SOPs Change bed linens, towels, and replenish room amenities (toiletries, coffee, minibar) Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and empty trash in rooms and corridors Report maintenance issues (e.g., leaks, broken fixtures, safety hazards) to maintenance or supervisor Handle guest requests professionally (extra linens, toiletries, cribs, etc.) Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, using proper PPE and chemical handling Support laundry operations: sort, wash, dry, fold linens as needed Maintain housekeeping carts and storage areas in organized, well‑stocked condition Respect guest privacy and room security protocols (knock, use key-card access, log lost‑and‑found items) Occasionally perform deep‑cleaning and assist with other areas (lobby, restrooms, stairwells) Requirements & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred; literacy required to follow labels and instructions Prior housekeeping experience in hospitality is a strong plus Excellent attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Physical stamina for lifting (up to 30-50 lbs), standing, bending, and mobility Good communication skills and ability to respond to guest needs courteously Strong time‑management and organizational abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexible availability for rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays Skills & Attributes Thorough and detail‑oriented Reliable and punctual Discreet regarding guest privacy and possessions Knowledgeable with cleaning products and equipment Demonstrates initiative and problem‑solving under pressure Benefits Competitive hourly wage Health, dental, and vision insurance after probation Holiday pay Employee discounts on hotel services and stays How to
