Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing floors and surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards. Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols. Use specialized cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and janitorial tools to maintain high standards of hygiene and floor care. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or equipment while adhering to manual handling safety procedures. Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff. Maintain sanitation by properly disposing of waste, replenishing supplies, and ensuring all areas meet health regulations. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests for housekeeping services or assistance. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in hospitality or industrial cleaning environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and hotel experience is advantageous. Knowledge of chemical handling, sanitation standards, and safety data sheets (SDS) ensures safe and effective cleaning practices. Experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor care machines, and other janitorial tools is beneficial. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Strong understanding of hotel emergency procedures and hospitality industry standards enhances your ability to respond effectively in various situations.
