Duties Perform floor cleaning and floor care tasks using appropriate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and mops to ensure spotless surfaces throughout the hotel. Handle chemical agents safely by following all safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff. Conduct janitorial and custodial tasks including dusting, trash removal, restroom sanitation, and replenishing supplies in public areas. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture, supplies, or cleaning equipment to support housekeeping operations efficiently. Support hotel housekeeping management by maintaining cleanliness standards in hallways, stairwells, service corridors, and other designated areas. Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to ensure safety during incidents or evacuations. Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to industry best practices for infection control and cleanliness. Qualifications Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial work is highly preferred; familiarity with hotel operations is a plus. Demonstrated ability in floor cleaning, industrial cleaning, and general janitorial tasks with knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemical handling. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, vacuuming, and prolonged standing or walking. Knowledge of safety protocols related to chemical agents, SDS documentation, and hotel emergency procedures. Experience with hotel housekeeping management or hospitality industry standards is advantageous.
