Job Description

Summary of Position:
As a member of the seafood production team, you will be responsible for various general warehouse tasks, including loading, unloading, stocking, inventory management, labeling, and receiving goods. Maintaining the seafood cooler is also essential to ensuring efficient warehouse operations, as it helps uphold high safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Responsibilities:
Cold storage management: Organize, stock, and rotate seafood inventory in refrigerated or sub-zero cooling environments.
Sanitation and Hygiene:
Sanitize work surfaces, floors, and equipment using specialized cleaning solutions in compliance with GMP.
Product handling:
Opening packaging, sorting products by grade/size, and packing them into designated containers, boxes, or ice-filled crates for shipping. Quality Assurance; Visibility inspects raw materials and finished goods for abnormalities, defects, or foreign materials.
Compliance:
Document cleaned areas and production metrics in accordance with SOP and food safety. Unload products, containers, and stock them in the designated area.

Ensure that the product is properly placed on racks, shelves, or in bins according to established practice.

Marks materials with identifying information.

Records the number of materials or items received or distributed.

Arranges products in the specified sequence for processing by other workers as needed.

Drives forklifts or other motorized equipment when necessary to transport items within the plant.

Supports in maintaining inventory records.

Inbound processing of returned products, alert production managers.

Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
Education High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience One to two years of related experience in a food processing plant or cold storage warehouse. Seafood experience is a plus. Work ethic A sense of urgency in meeting critical and time-sensitive deadlines.

Language Basic English speaking and written proficiency.

Mathematical Ability to perform basic arithmetic tasks adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying.

Physical demands: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy loads (typically up to 40 to 50 pounds).
Work Environment:
Must be highly comfortable standing for long periods in consistently cold climates of 35 or lower, wet, and odorous environments.
