Job Title:
Production Lead Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Production Lead to supervise production workers and ensure the smooth operation of our production line. The role involves overseeing production machinery setup, coordinating with inventory and shipping teams, and preparing finished goods for shipment. Responsibilities Supervise and support production workers to maintain efficient workflow. Ensure the production line runs smoothly and meets key performance indicators. Oversee the setup of production machinery and ensure operators continuously move materials through the process. Coordinate with the inventory team to prepare raw materials for production. Work with the shipping team to stage and prepare finished goods for shipment. Prepare finished goods, including packaging and crating, for shipment. Essential Skills 3-5 years of experience in production with leadership skills or the desire to move into a leadership role. Hands-on support and willingness to assist wherever needed. Experience with production line, machine operation, and assembly processes. Proficiency in
SAP, ERP, WMS
systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Good cultural and team fit, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork. Work Environment Work in a medium-sized manufacturing company specializing in plastics and packaging equipment. The facility supports various industries, including foam products, plastic packaging, corrugated boxes, and custom fabrication products. The team consists of around 100 employees, with 50 on the day shift and 22 on the second shift. The company is shifting towards hiring contract-to-hire employees for specialized roles, moving away from a high level of temporary labor. The first shift operates from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
