Full-Time Position Summary Our organization is seeking an experienced Post-Harvest & Trim technician to assist in all operations from post harvest through finished, packaged product. This role owns the entire post-harvest workflow — drying, curing, dry trim, packaging, and inventory staging — and is directly responsible for maintaining full METRC compliance across every stage of that process. The ideal candidate has hands-on cannabis post-harvest experience, strong leadership skills managing trim/packaging teams, and advanced, day-to-day fluency in METRC. Key Responsibilities Post-Harvest Operations Oversee and manage all post-harvest processes: hang/dry, cure, dry trim, and final packaging Develop and enforce SOPs for drying rooms, cure schedules, and trim workflows to maximize quality and yield Monitor environmental conditions (humidity, temperature, airflow) in dry and cure rooms to prevent mold, mildew, and degradation Manage productivity targets, and quality standards for the trim and packaging team Conduct quality control checks on trimmed and packaged flower (visual inspection, moisture content, trim quality) Coordinate harvest timing and post-harvest capacity with cultivation leadership Packaging Assist with packaging operations to ensure compliance with Michigan state packaging, labeling, and child-resistant packaging requirements Manage inventory of packaging materials and coordinate orders Ensure accurate labeling (strain, weight, THC/CBD content, harvest/package dates, license numbers, warnings) on all finished product METRC & Compliance Serve as the facility's subject matter expert on METRC for all post-harvest activity Accurately and promptly record all harvest weights, waste, drying loss, trim conversions, and packaging events in METRC Create and manage packages, sub-packages, and item transfers within METRC in real time as product moves through each stage Reconcile METRC records against physical inventory regularly to identify and correct discrepancies before they become compliance issues Maintain audit-ready documentation for all post-harvest METRC transactions Stay current on Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) rule changes affecting METRC reporting and post-harvest handling Partner with the compliance/operations team on internal audits and regulatory inspections Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of experience in a licensed cannabis cultivation or processing facility, with direct post-harvest, trim, or packaging experience Advanced, hands-on proficiency with METRC required — including package creation, harvest/waste recording, transfers, and inventory reconciliation Working knowledge of Michigan CRA regulations related to cultivation, processing, and packaging Prior supervisory or team management experience desired Strong attention to detail and comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Must be 21+ and able to pass a background check per Michigan cannabis licensing requirements Preferred Qualifications Experience managing drying/curing rooms and environmental controls Familiarity with seed-to-sale compliance beyond METRC (state reporting, CRA audits) Experience training staff on compliance-related recordkeeping
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
