Job Description

Job Summary Join the team at Coastal Seafood & Propane as a Seafood Market Associate, where you'll help customers select quality seafood based on their needs and provide friendly, knowledgeable service from start to finish. This hands-on position involves preparing seafood, cleaning fish to customer specifications, washing oysters, packing orders, picking crabs, and safely pumping propane. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, cleanliness, attention to detail, and excellent customer service are essential. Responsibilities Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and help customers select seafood Clean and prepare fish according to customer preferences Wash and prepare oysters and other seafood products Pick and package crabs and pack customer orders Safely pump propane and follow all applicable safety procedures Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas Properly handle and store seafood and maintain coolers and freezers Work efficiently as part of a team in a busy seafood market Maintain a professional and positive attitude with customers and coworkers Experience Seafood, retail, restaurant, customer service, or food-handling experience is preferred but not required. Refrigeration or cooler/freezer experience is a plus due to the amount of refrigerated equipment used throughout the market. Pay:
$13.00 - $18.00 per hour
