This role will lead daily maintenance operations in a food production environment, ensuring maximum equipment uptime, food safety compliance and efficient execution of preventive maintenance programs. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a small team while actively supporting troubleshooting, repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair food processing equipment (Fish Descalers, deheaders, pin bone machines, filleting machines) Facility maintenance (lighting, doors, walls, ladders, and basic plumbing). Maintain and repair warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks Conveyor systems, pallet loaders Tray packing, vacuum packaging, labeling machines Perform mechanical maintenance (belts, bearings, chains, motors, rollers) Perform basic electrical troubleshooting (sensors, switches, controls) Manage preventive maintenance (PM) programs Respond to equipment breakdowns during production Follow GMP, food safety, OSHA, and safety procedures Complete maintenance logs and work orders Ensure continuous product flow from receiving>processing>outbound Requirements 5+ years experience as a Maintenance Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic. 3+ years in Lead or Supervisory Maintenance roles Experience in food manufacturing, seafood processing, or industrial production Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical knowledge Ability to work independently without supervision Comfortable working in cold, wet, and production environments Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders Preferred Qualifications Experience in seafood, meat, poultry, or protein processing HVAC or refrigeration knowledge Electric motors and PLC's.
