Buffalo, NY 14227 — in person Schneider's Seafood + Meats is looking for a dependable, hardworking person to join our seafood production team. Previous fish-cutting or food-production experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, is comfortable working with their hands and wants to learn a skilled trade. Employees will receive a performance and pay review after 90 days, with the opportunity to earn $27.00 or more per hour based on ability, productivity, attendance and overall performance. Schedule Employees will be assigned either a Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday schedule.
Monday and Wednesday:
7:00 AM-3:00
PM Tuesday, Thursday and Friday:
6:30 AM-3:00
PM Saturday:
7:00 AM-11:00 AM Starting and ending times may vary depending on production needs Responsibilities Cut, trim, skin and portion fresh fish Pack, weigh and label seafood products Fill, rotate and properly store seafood inventory Assist with receiving and loading trucks as needed Safely operate knives, scales and packaging equipment Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment Follow all food-safety, sanitation and workplace-safety procedures Perform other seafood-production and warehouse duties as assigned Requirements Dependable attendance and reliable transportation Willingness to learn fish cutting and seafood production Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work in refrigerated production rooms, coolers and loading-dock areas Comfortable standing and working with your hands throughout the shift Steel-toe work boots required Must be able to commute reliably to Buffalo, NY 14227 Benefits Overtime paid after 40 hours Company contribution of up to $4,000 annually toward health insurance when coverage is elected
